As we wrapped up season 6, we reflected on what a great year we have had. Since their launch, our Recreational Cheerleading Classes have gone from strength to strength as the member numbers grew 100 per cent. We are so pleased to be able to offer these classes to children aged 3 to 16 – there is no pressure to compete, no registration or uniform fees. Our long-standing parent and tots class Dudez & Daisiez for children aged 1 to 3 has seen many of our newest cheerleaders progress into our recreational programme, which is very rewarding both for us coaches and for the parents.
On top of this all competition teams celebrated great success this season, having taken home multiple awards including Grand Champs, 1st and 2nd place trophies as well as receiving a spirit cup for excellent sportsmanship from the whole 3Degreez family.
Adult Cheer is a great way to introduce adults to the world of cheerleading, so we are excited to launch our Introduction to Cheer adult classes. It’s all about fun and fitness, meeting new friends and finding new challenges.
We also have school holiday workshops and day camps ready for the new season. These will start from the very basics and progress up to more advance levels so if you are interested, keep an eye on our Facebook page for dates available.
As we head into Season 7, we are excited to be adding two new competition teams to our timetable. For the first time ever we are creating a Tiny Team to give children the opportunity to compete from age 3! In addition to this our Seniors Team is expanding, with a second senior team coming to our timetable at a higher level.
School Cheer offers cheer workshops and school teams in primary and secondary schools across Herefordshire. We are so excited to be bringing these opportunities into local schools, hoping to see many more come on board in the next academic year.
Did you know that Allstar Cheerleading is a booming trend throughout the UK? It gives athletes skills for life. Incorporating many different elements from gymnastic, dance, jumps and stunts, it also develops confidence, team work and leadership skills. As a result, so many of our parents have commented on how proud they are of their children’s new found hobby! While training certainly improves the participants’ physical fitness, improvements in concentration and school work have also been reported by parents, together with recent comments by teachers about the increase in children’s confidence.
We hope to welcome many more new faces in our classes, so drop us a message and take that first step towards finding your new challenge!
