Active HERE supports adults in Herefordshire in their efforts to get active, by bridging the gap between contemplating physical activity and actually attending their first session. Whether you need encouragement or direction, Active HERE will help you locate a suitable activity and support you along the way so you can achieve your goals.

From those who have worked with us so far, the feedback suggests that having someone to discuss barriers and successes with boosts morale and helps participants to engage in new activities.

“Walking football was something I’d always been interested in doing, so it was great to know that there’s all this stuff out there that people can go to which I wasn’t aware of.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed my first gentle exercise session. I felt I had found something I could actually do and with people like me dealing with health conditions. The group has such a great social connection, I really enjoy going each week and having a coffee after. It is perfect for me, I enjoy the exercises and have found being part of the group a great support as I have got ‘myself’ back, raising my confidence which I didn’t realise I had lost until I felt good again.’

Contact with Active HERE is free and the service covers the whole of the county. We signpost clients to the vast array of activities that run in a variety of settings, including more rural venues, and cover a wide range of interests.

Whether you are after an exercise session to burn off some calories, or perhaps something more relaxing to bring harmony to your body and mind, we will surely find the most suitable option for you.

Whatever your fitness level, age or ability, anyone can have a go and reap the benefits of being more active. Get in touch to book your FREE appointment and start getting active.
