Deepen The Commitment To Yourself

It is a typical human response to want to improve ourselves or our life situations. We may struggle with personal problems, such as bad habits, phobias, anxieties or poor performance, and attempt some sort of behavioural change to make things better. This usually involves using lots of will-power, which can often succeed, but it can sometimes be too difficult to maintain the change or to cope with occasional lapses. We may feel frustration at ourselves or the situation, or doubt our ability to commit to and achieve our goals. This can challenge our core identity – especially if failure occurs after genuine and persistent effort – leading to fear, anger and even abandoning those inner goals.

What many of us struggle to recognise, is that there is often something else going on under the surface. Habitual negative thoughts, beliefs and emotional reactions lie out of our conscious awareness, making it almost impossible to access and so change them. This is where it can be useful to work with someone who is trained to spot those patterns and to help bring them to your conscious attention.

Using processes that allow safe access to the unconscious mind, Inner Joy Hypnotherapy helps you release and resolve those old fears. Combined with this approach, you will be supported to really clarify what you want and why, and to reprogramme your unconscious mind to working towards – instead of against – your goals. Add to this the infusion of your goals with a positive emotional charge, and you have the formula for a successful new way of living.

So if you find yourself frustrated at not being able to commit to the changes that you want, perhaps it is time to try a different approach. Contact Emma Reed, Clinical Hypnotherapist Dip Hyp CS MHS
