As Halo get set for some summer fun, we find out the five best reasons to sign up to their holiday activities

We can all remember the joy of that ‘school’s out for summer’ feeling. No more rushing to get to the gate before the bell, or sitting in hot classrooms when you’d rather be out in the sun. But an end to the school term can, for many children, also be an end to fun social activities, regular sports and sociable play, especially when you have to work…

This is where summer activity clubs come into their own, and Halo are proud to deliver some of the finest in Herefordshire. Halo’s menu of activities  now offers everything from team games to tag rugby, rounders to racket sports, baking to benchball. Seriously, the list goes on and is designed to appeal to every 6  to 12 year old in the county, and to deliver so many benefits to boot. Want to know the top five reasons families love them?

It pervades the programme. This is not about replacing school, but about providing the social and physical benefits of being active with other kids. Every activity Halo design is about having fun in a safe, supervised arena.

Each activity builds team work and turn taking, and fosters independence, confidence and communication – your children will be meeting and playing with new friends every day. These are skills that they can take back to school when they return in September.
