Herefordshire Veterans’ Support Group (HVSG) work with all ex-service personnel and their families, sign-posting the veterans to receive the correct treatment, support and guidance. The group also encourages the veterans’ individual thinking and taking an active role in improving their health and wellbeing by remaining stable, self-confident, disciplined and determined to live the life they wish to live.

Working closely with a number of local organisations and businesses, HVSG recently secured funding from Defence Medical Welfare Services to tailor their programmes to the veteran community aged 65 and over. This includes working The Cart Shed as well as looking at alternative therapies and courses.

Local ex-military community will soon benefit from the launch of some life changing projects resulting from the cooperation between the military charity sector, the NHS and the civilian military task group. Providing the best possible outcomes for each veteran and their families, many inspirational people have been working tirelessly behind the scenes so the veteran community gets the best support they deserve.

“I am immensely proud to be a very small part of this process,” says Chris Martin-Bailey, the HVSG coordinator. “I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support – The Cart Shed, Contour Outdoor, and our sponsors Watkins Thomas Residential Property Sales & Lettings.”
