Yoga can provide enormous benefits to anyone pursuing a fitness regime – it offers a unified approach to toning and strengthening the body. Where some other fitness training practices can over-develop particular muscle groups, regular practice of yoga postures improves balance, strength and overall flexibility, making you more capable of pursuing training for longer.
Yoga can also strengthen joints, increase spinal flexibility, and core strength. It is also one of the few exercises which stimulate your internal organs, flushing out toxins from the body tissue. This helps increase energy levels and leads to better endurance so you can maintain other exercise programmes for longer. Additionally, yoga speeds up your recovery time after training.
Did you know that the right form of yoga can help with maintaining weight loss?
There are many forms of yoga, and some of them are practised for their calming, meditative influence, while other forms raise your heart rate enough to contribute to weight loss.
At Trinity Tree Yoga I offer weekly Vinyasa and Ashtanga classes which can raise your heart rate and help with burning body fat. If you’d like to use yoga to help support your current exercise regime or aid losing weight, then sign up for one of these classes.
Private tuition, events and workshops are also available. For more information please get in touch.
