REBEL ROCK Hair & MakeUp By Rebecca Carwardine And Keri Oldaker, Two Sisters With A Passion For Creativity

By Andrea Slivkova

When the new hair and makeup studio Rebel Rock opened its doors to their first customers, it caused a stir in Hereford. The ripple effect that followed brought interest from beyond the city’s boundaries, and today the stream of new clients fills the diaries to the brim.

Founders and sisters Keri Oldaker and Rebecca Carwardine, the talented power duo behind this phenomenal hairdressing success, have already added more pairs of hands to their team to meet the demand; this includes a number of stylists, beauty therapists, makeup and permanent makeup artists.

“Professionalism and high standards of customer service are paramount to us,” says Keri. “We have created a bespoke environment designed to inspire both the client and the stylist in pursuit of finding the perfect colour and cut for every client.”

Creative hairstylist Rebecca, or Becki, juggles her work at the salon with her true passion, wedding hair. Ready to take on the rest of the hairdressing world, this girl travels all over the country, and abroad (Italy, for example) to make sure her brides are looking Rebel Rock-perfect. Having completed the Sam McKnight Hair Course, Becki has got a few actors and musicians on her client list but you’ll have to make a hair appointment if you want her to name drop.

MakeUp artist Keri is considered to be something of the salon’s own in-house beauty queen – she will transform you from damsel in distress to the belle of the ball, while making sure you have great time along the way. Whether you are after voluptuous lips or eyes -to-die-for, Keri is the girl for you. She will get you ready for any occasion, whether it’s your wedding or your Nan’s 90th birthday party.

In addition to ladies’ and gents’ cuts and colour, as well as children’s cuts, the team caters for weddings and special occasions, hair and makeup included.

“We pride ourselves on outstanding finishes, achieving the customer’s desired look each and every time,” adds Rebecca. “We work very hard to provide a stress free experience.” And of course, refreshments that you can’t resist, also help.
