For me, fitness is a personal journey with a multi-directional approach. It’s all about finding something that you love, that gives you variety and drive, and can be easily slotted in to your routine.

I have always been interested in fitness and nutrition, and I have a very active lifestyle which I share with my partner and my teenage children. We walk, swim and attend CrossFit (I have found the Loughman brothers very supportive). Our biggest passion is the great outdoors – we are never happier than in our muddy boots! Over the years we have tweaked our fitness regime to fit in with family commitments, holidays and time available, and my partner and I have climbed many of the highest mountains in the world.

We eat well as a family and love to travel and try new foods. I have followed a vegetarian diet for over 30 years but I always make sure I top up with high quality supplements. The most important thing for me is just to get stuck in, try new things, see what works and to have a lot of laughs along the way – I strongly believe in having fun as you train.

I have completed many races over the years and intend to find the fun in running again as the winter approaches.
