We had a busy summer at FitNet, preparing this edition as well as the Special Edition 2015, out later this year. To celebrate five years of the magazine, Daniel Moncur-Sime took some unique artistic photographs for the Special Edition’s Art Of Fitness Collection. Look out for it later this year.

On the subject of photographs, Hereford photographer Nick Evans went to see martial arts classes at Dragon Fitness Academy and at Komori Dojo – see for yourself what the clubs get up to during their training.

August saw our city host the IBSA Blind Football European Championships 2015 and a few days before the kick off I had the privilege to meet Owen Bainbridge, a member of Team England. Read the interview with this inspirational young player on page 14.

Meanwhile, your familiar writers bring you more on your favourite subjects: Tim Holt and Ady Watts on sports injuries, Anthony Lawson and Bruce Fraser on highly specialist health topics of heart rate variability and trigeminal neuralgia respectively, while Matthew Barrett writes about Charles Poliquin’s BioPrint, a new approach to body fat loss. Halo Leisure update on the progress of their facilities’ refurbishment, and the Starlight Company on their latest dance and fitness projects around the county.

Our new additions are Ann Rowan’s article on the Alexander technique and the importance of keeping a good posture, while physiotherapist Kiran Sharma introduces her two new clinics in Herefordshire.

As for our competitions, find out who won the last rounds and what we have in store for you this time. Thank you to all our readers and those who entered the competitions, it is so great to see you are finding helpful information on FitNet’s pages.

Keep up the great work on your healthy and active lifestyle, and let the party season begin, feeling fit and fabulous. Happy reading and exercising!
