As the days get longer and we have more energy and enthusiasm, it  is time to set new goals to aim for. This edition brings you fascinating success stories to inspire you. When you read about what personal trainer Gareth Bennett achieved with one of his clients, or how a former wedding tailor became a Zumba instructor, your goals will feel closer within your reach.

Hereford Triathlon Club, celebrating 30 years this year, is inviting you to join their duathlon event in April and a triathlon in summer, and no, you don’t have to be super fit. The club has members from all walks of life, of many different ages and fitness levels – it’s all about fun, fitness and friendship.

Special focus of the Spring edition is on activities for those less mobile, less fit or agile, whatever your interest may be. From martial arts for any level, to Tai Chi and Chairobics, there is something for everyone in our local area.

Congratulations to Joseph Dignam on his new qualification to offer Alicaway Combat System in Hereford, and to 3Degreez Cheerleaders on their fascinating new classes such as Pom Dance. I am pleased to be introducing Stephan Grabner’s  Amatsu physical therapy, but also Hereford based stylist Natasha Goode, advising on spring colours and styles.

Technology plays a huge part in motivating us to keep going with our training, and in this edition both Halo Leisure and Anytime Fitness lead with revolutionary technology that helps members track their progress in the gym. Meanwhile, regular columns on pilates, yoga, nutrition and beauty are waiting for you on the following pages, together with Rebel Rock’s hair and make up advice for brides.

Our food section has some tips to tickle your taste buds and inspire you in the kitchen, and don’t forget to stock up on fresh produce from Munday & Jones Greengrocers in Monmouth and The Green Bean Café & Shop in Weobley.

Lastly, since your feedback shows how much you love competitions, this Spring I would like to invite you to enter three: The Great British Florist competition for a flower arrangement workshop, The FIT store contest for a voucher but also a new competition; The Hair Lounge is offering one winner (or their family member) a free cut & blow dry, plus a free goodie bag!  Thank you to all our advertisers, stockists, readers and contributors for making FitNet the magazine it is today. Enjoy reading and keeping fit!
